"From a young age, I was immersed in the natural beauty of the countryside in Hong Kong, where my parents worked in agriculture. As city kids, we roamed the mountains and enjoyed the sweetest fruits from the trees and the freshest of vegetables. We learned to cook from a young age, and over time, developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and its ingredients.
I studied graphic design in the UK before returning to Hong Kong, where I worked as an art director for a film distribution company and took part in brand creation projects. In 2000, I began using painting to explore my inner self, developing a deep appreciation for abstract art and natural landscapes. Through the creative process, I found a profound sense of peace and balance.
After my son was born, I was introduced to Waldorf education and was deeply inspired by its philosophy. This led me to enrol my son in Waldorf education, a journey that continues to this day.
As I accompanied my child’s growth, I actively studied anthroposophy and attended art courses led by Waldorf mentors such as Martin Schmandt and Van James. Currently, I am pursuing an anthroposophic art therapy online program at the Sienna Academy in Australia. Over the past decade, I have continued my journey in anthroposophy, integrating my knowledge into art education, with a strong commitment to exploring the connection between art and the soul.
In recent years, I have focused on teaching art to both adults and children. I collaborate with various social welfare organizations and schools, offering courses in art education, spiritual art, and natural vegetarian living. From 2021 to 2024, I participated as a painting instructor in the Caritas Jockey Club Artspiration Project, using art to support the growth of children with special educational needs (SEN). With over seven years of experience in art education, my students include SEN children, parents, and retirees. I have also worked with organizations such as Caritas, women's associations, and the Anglican Church.
